It's beginning to feel a lot like spring!  And that means it's almost time for Folk Music Sundays at Dow Gardens!  
We are currently seeking interested musicians to play on the following dates:

May 4th, July 6th, and August 3rd, with a make-up date of September 7th.

Winter Concert Scheduled!

Concert Reminder:

The Folk Music Society of Midland is excited to present former New Christy Minstrels member Jackie Davidson with folklorist/singer/songwriter Gary Brandt in concert Saturday, March 15th, 2014!

Concert starts at 7 pm, opening with the Jolly Hammers & Strings, 

followed by Jackie & Gary at 8 pm. 

Grace A. Dow Library Auditorium, 1710 W. St. Andrews, Midland, MI.  

Admission is free but a suggested donation of $5 per person is greatly appreciated.

Last week of February 2014....

Let's hope that March is more conducive to getting out and musicking than February (and January, and December, and November!) have been.  Here's what's lined up for the next week's activities:

Friday, 2/28/14, is the Mt. Haley Jamboree, held at the MHTH (Mt. Haley Township Hall) from 7-10 pm.

Saturday, 3/1/14 (aka 2/29/14 :-), is the monthly SUGAR uke group meeting at Sullivan's Restaurant on M-46 in Saginaw.

FMSM scheduled events for the 3rd week of February, 2014

JH/S practices at Zion on Tuesday, 2/18/14, and performs at Chippewa Nature Center on Saturday, 2/22/14, from 1-4 pm.
