We welcome your help and participation with some Folk Music Society of Midland business matters. Although there are many volunteer opportunities available, any amount of service would ease the load of the current board members and other frequent volunteers.

Community Relations Chair
Time Commitment:
Undetermined
- Responds to public comments and questions via phone, website, e-mail
- Provides interviews with radio, television, and newspapers
- Possibly oversees FMSM community events coordinator & other volunteers (Memorial Day Parade, Sanford's Founders Day Parade, Community Organization of the Night at the Loons Stadium, and possibly the Midland County Fair.
Festival Program Ad Coordinator
Time Commitment:
Unsure, possibly 6-8 hours
- Identifies and communicates with local businesses about advertising in the Folk Music Festival Program Guide
- Sends confirmation communications to participating businesses
- Sends ad information to Festival Coordinators
- Coordinates invoices sent out and payments collected with Treasurer
Concert Hosts/Hostesses
Time Commitment: (3 hours, twice per year: 30 minutes prior to a concert, length of the concert, and up to 30 minutes after a concert)
- Greets concert-goers
- Accepts and secures donations
- Displays and assists with distributing concert programs, membership forms, and other literature
- Accepts membership forms and payment
