Greetings, Fellow Jammers! A message from Johnny Hunt
Greetings, fellow jammers!
Johnny Hunt here with some ideas and plans how to make the 2nd Jams work more smoothly...
We are cleared for take-off at the Fashion Square Mall on the 4th Tuesdays of the month from 6-8pm, beginning this coming Tuesday, April 2th. If it works out and is well-attended enough, we can make it a monthly thing. Also, the Midland Mall 2nd Jam will meet on the 2nd Friday of each month from 6-8pm as long as it is well-attended.
I had good intentions of projecting all the songs with the words and the chords last time, but the screen I made wasn't adequate. I have a much better screen to bring along on the 26th, but I will need a couple of helpers to set it up around 5:30pm. Please let me know if you're able to help with this.
With a group of players having different talents and abilities and songs that they sing and play, it will be very helpful to have the lyrics and chords visible to all!
I would love to have you submit songs to me in either a .pdf or .jpg format so they can be included in the upcoming jam as well as subsequent jams! For the upcoming jam on the 26th, I will need to have them sent to me no later than Sunday, the 24th.
The requests that I have for the songs you wish to be included is that they fit on an 8 1/2 x 11 page in portrait mode, and that the chords be included in-line rather than above the lyrics just to save space. Here is an example of what I prefer for projectability and legibility...
I will send around a sheet at the jams for you to put your name and e-mail address, and that way I can send group e-mails out with any communications that would be helpful.
Thanks, peanutuke@gmail.com
