The Folk Music Society of Midland is hosting a gathering of Folk Musicians, Traditional Dancers and Folk Music enthusiasts. Traditional musicians come to play & listen, to camp & visit, to jam & perform, to buy & sell, to dance & sing, to teach & learn.

The Folk Music Society invites musicians of all levels, from beginners to advanced, to bring their acoustic instruments and join the festivities.  There will be lots of jamming and open stage opportunities all weekend.

Workshops are included with the price of admission, and will be held on Friday and Saturday for Hammered Dulcimer, Autoharp, Banjo, Bass, Concertina, Dobro, Fiddle, Guitar, Harp, Hurdy Gurdy, Mandolin, Mountain Dulcimer, Pennywhistle, Steel Drum, Ukulele, Whistle, Dance, Performance and more.  For information about the workshops, please contact Joann.

Due to a new change in rules regarding public potluck, we can no longer host the Thursday night festival potluck tradition. The MFMF tradition will move on with a bang though offering another top-notch stage show on Thursday night to complement the customary Saturday night stage show.On Friday night at 7 p.m., the Midland Traditional Dancers will instruct and lead dancers of all levels at the Fair Center in a lively FREE evening of contra dancing. Also on Friday night the Mt. Haley Jam will be held in the Merchant's Building next to the Fair Center.  The Saturday afternoon and evening Stage Shows are always a highlight of the weekend.  The event concludes on Sunday after a morning “Gospel Music” Stage Show.
