First week of April 2014

SUGAR meets at Sullivan's Restaurant, 5235 Gratiot in Saginaw, on Saturday morning, 4/5/14, from 10:30 until noon.  Bring along Set X, which will be receiving necessary refinements that day, and will be rehearsed either until made perfect or else it's time for lunch, whichever comes first!

Somebody tell the weather forecasters that spring is here now!  In the meanwhile, here's what's happening:

Friday, 3/28/14, is the Mt. Haley Jamboree, held at the Mt. Haley Twp. Hall.  Click on the "Jams" tab, and you will learn everything you need to know about it!

Saturday, 3/29/14, JH/S has its monthly session at 1pm at the Chippewa Nature Center. You can glean the details by selecting the "Jolly Hammers & Strings" tab.

Saturday, 3/22/14 - Traditional Dance at Midland Community Center, 7:30pm (pre-dance instruction at 7pm).  Cost is $7.

Monday, 3/10/14 - JH/S is at Seasons (Saginaw Rd. at Dublin) in Midland at 10am.

Wednesday, 3/12/14 - FMSM Board Meeting at Dow Library (downstairs next to MCTV offices) at 6:30pm.

Thursday, 3/13/14 - SUGAR plays at Bickford Assisted Living in Saginaw at 10:30am.

Thursday, 3/13/14 - JH/S practice at Zion Beaver at 1pm.

Friday, 3/14/14 - Second Jam at Midland Free Methodist Church, 5821 Eastman Rd. in Midland from 7-10pm.  PEANUT (free ukulele instruction) from 7-8pm at MFMC, too.

Saturday, 3/15/14 - 2014 Winter Concert at Dow Library Auditorium, 1710 W. St. Andrews Rd. in Midland.  JH/S plays at 7pm, and Jackie & Gary headline the concert at 8pm.  Suggested donation of $5, and come early for preferred seating.  :)

Attention: Dance Lesson Start Time 7 pm

Per the MidlandTraditionalDancers Yahoo! Newsgroup, the lesson starts at 7 pm for new dancers.  As previously stated, the dance is from 7:30-10 pm, Saturday, March 08.  Fun for the family AND your friends!  Open to the public! 

Morpeth Rant will provide music.  Bring a favorite snack and warm up with some dancing fun!

The location is the Barstow-Shipps Multipurpose Room at the Midland Community Center, 2205 Jefferson, Midland. 

The cost is $7.00/person at the front desk. Your receipt goes in the box at the entrance to the dance.

Don't miss the Saturday dance!

If you don't get around much any more, come on out to the Midland Community Center on Saturday, March 8th, and be a part of the traditional dancing that takes place from 7:30 until 10 pm.  If you would like a little help getting up-to-speed, you can arrive at 6:30 for some additional instruction.  Cost is $7, payable at the front desk.
